What is the Sugasm?

It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s an informal sex blog network. Participants share traffic, comments, and occasionally bodily fluids (the last two are optional). It?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a great way for newer blogs to get noticed and established blogs to network and gain new readers.

How does it work?

You submit a link to your best post of the week. If your blog meets the criteria, your link goes up in the fresh Sugasm edition on Monday. All participants repost the Sugasm links on their blogs by the close of the next Monday.

Are the entries judged?

No. This is sexual democracy in action. As long as your blog qualifies, the only standards you have to meet are your own.

What kinds of entries do you accept?

Surprise us. Audio, video, erotica, pictures, personal essays, thoughts on sex, whatever you feel like hitting us with. As long as it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s sexy and/or sexual, it qualifies.

Who can submit an entry/who qualifies to participate?

Sex blogs that meet the following criteria can participate:
You have to re-post Sugasm properly.
The site has to publish RSS.
There has to be content in the post (i.e. it can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t just be a link to something else).
The post has to be properly formatted (i.e. have a title)
The content has to be new in the last 7 days.

How do I join the Sugasm?

Submit a link to your best post for the week. Use an email you check in case we need to ask you something before your link goes live.

If you want to be included in the Sugasm you must send us your permalink-the link to the specific post you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re submitting, not just a link to your main page. While we can go through your blog and find it ourselves we are now getting so many submissions that we need to make this rule to save us time in editing.

How do I find the permalink?

You?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re looking for the URL with the post date and/or name in it. That?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s the one you send in. For example the permalink for the FAQ page is:
http://sugasm.com/2006/02/24/sugasm-faq/

Go to the blog and locate the post you want to submit. Click on the title. A new page will open that only shows the selected post. If you look up in the address bar you will see the permalink. It is the address of a specific post. It will have your main blog site with your specific post at the end. Copy and send this link to us.

If you’re using Blogger you will can find your permalink by scrolling down to the bottom of the post you want to submit. In most templates, it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll be linked to the timestamp at the bottom of the post you want.

When is the submission deadline?

Midnight PST each Thursday. If you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re late,?Ǭ†you’re?Ǭ†submission?Ǭ†will?Ǭ†be?Ǭ†included next week.

Can I submit early (before the post request)?

Sure. You can start submitting for the next week?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Sugasm as soon as submissions for the current one close on Thursday.

Okay, I joined - now what do I do?

Welcome to the Sugasm! On Monday when the Sugasm you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re in is posted, you repost the links on your blog. You must repost the links by the following Monday. Everyone else does the same thing.

You are required to post everything above the lines ?¢‚Ǩ?ìSugasm participants should re-post all the links above. The following links may be excluded as long as you include all the above links.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù Sugasm participants are welcome to post more on their blogs if they wish.

Though not required, comment whoring on participants?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ blogs is considered good form and might win you sexy email buddies or a place on someone?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s blogroll.

You?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll want to check back over the weekend for any last-minute updates. Subscribing to the Sugasm post-only feed is a good way to do this.

How do we vote?

Only Sugasm participants can vote for the Top Week’s Picks. You are not allowed to vote for your own post. Friday night all Sugasm participants will be emailed a draft of the upcoming Sugasm post. Look over the draft and send us back your choices for the top three spots by Sunday night. Monday the votes will be tallied and the new Sugasm will be published.

What happens if I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t post the links by the end of next Monday?

Your link gets taken down, and participants are strongly encouraged to update the Sugasm post to reflect this.

Life happens - if you can?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t get the links up in time because you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re out of town, sick, or whatever, just email us with a heads up and we?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll accept a late posting. If you don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t post just because, you don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t get to play again.

I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m new to blogging. How do I post the links?

Click on the post title of the Sugasm edition you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re in, then click on View ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú> Page Source (View ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú> Source in IE). Scroll down until you see the start of the Sugasm post, then copy the links and paste them into your blog.

I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t want the links messing with my format?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ Can I just link to the Sugasm site on my blogroll/link to the Sugasm I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m in on my blogroll/post the Sugasm links in an aside?

Linking to the Sugasm on your blogroll is optional, but appreciated. It won?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t exempt you from reposting the Sugasm links though. Linking to the Sugasm edition you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re in on your blogroll isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t reposting the links and isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t a fair trade. You can post the Sugasm links in an aside as long as the post still ends up in your main RSS feed.

We?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll be checking the links by subscribing to participants?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ feeds instead of visually (unless your feed?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s down).

How do I get my post above the fold?

For now only the top 3 posts with the most votes and an editor’s choice get above the fold.

I submitted my link, but it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s not in the Sugasm, or there?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a typo somewhere.

If you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re not a spammer, you submitted your post correctly, and you were omitted, we probably goofed. Let me know ASAP so we can fix it. Feel free to email us if you have any questions or problems.
